Rotary Club of Long Beach

Supporting Higher Education,
Supporting Our Future

One of the proudest achievements of the Rotary Club of Long Beach membership is the continued support for and success of the Long Beach Rotary Scholarship Foundation (LBRSF).

The nonprofit LBRSF has funded nearly 5,000 annual student scholarships totaling more than $6 million for deserving local students to attend Long Beach City College or California State University, Long Beach.

The foundation awarded nearly 250 scholarships totaling approximately $350,000 in the past academic year alone.

LBRSF’s mission is to ‘joyfully provide’ financial resources to high school and college students with average and above-average grades to attend LBCC or CSULB. Our program reaches out to local/Long Beach students who might not fit the mold for traditional financial aid or scholarship programs and whose families also can’t afford the cost of higher education.

A registered 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation created over 60 years ago, LBRSF has become the largest annual scholarship donor to both Long Beach City College and California State University, Long Beach. This support funds vocational, trades, and academic programs to help recipients become responsible, productive adults.

Rotary Club of Long Beach members can directly support the foundation as a specific Avenue of Service or aid the organization through RCLB’s many other projects. What community issues would you like to address?
