The Rotary Club of Long Beach (RCLB) is proud to be part of this worldwide organization and its focus on friendship, integrity, and living the motto “Service Above Self.”
With a local membership representing over 100 occupations from a variety of sectors and backgrounds, we offer nearly limitless opportunities to do something for other people, locally and worldwide, in tangible, productive, and sustainable ways.
We call them Avenues of Service — as a new member you can choose at least one Avenue to begin your Rotary Club experience:
Community Service: Engage directly with our local community and related programs.
Club Service: Ensure RCLB runs smoothly, professionally, and with personal attention for members and guests.
Fellowship Service: Manage and host member activities from boating to dinners, social mixers, adventure outings, and more.
International Service: Sponsor a project in another country, seek international project partners to support projects here, or volunteer at an international project site.
Membership Service: Spark involvement by new and current members, and provide information on our complete range of club activities.
Career Service: Promote high business and professional behavior standards through programs such as Camp Enterprise, visitation projects, and youth mentoring.
Youth Service: Support activities focused on youth and college students across various Rotary and other programs.
When considering membership, it’s a good idea to reflect on the “Is Rotary For Me?” questions and see if you align with the Criteria for Membership.
Also note that RCLB meetings are every Wednesday at noon on the Queen Mary.
