Bring Your Passion For Leadership!

Founded 120 years ago, Rotary International’s mission is to serve others, promote integrity, and advance global understanding, goodwill, and peace through a dedicated membership of business, professional, and community leaders.

Rotary Club of Long Beach (RCLB) is one of the 50 largest Rotary Clubs in the world — and the oldest service club in Long Beach. While RCLB may be best known for our support of local youth and education causes, our members also take part in a range of opportunities that make a difference in our community — and the world.

The Essentials

When considering Rotary Club of Long Beach membership, it’s a good idea to reflect on the “Is Rotary For Me?” questions and see if you align with the Criteria for Membership. Both of these are linked below.

Club Camaraderie

Being a Rotary member means joining a vibrant, dynamic group of people who are passionate about Long Beach. Our Wednesday meetings are more than just gatherings: they’re opportunities to forge new friendships, deepen bonds, and stay connected with our community. RCLB’s other events and activities are filled with camaraderie, bringing together members of different ages, interests, and professions in a spirit of fun and connection.

The Rotary Club: Make A World Of Difference!

With over 1.2 million members and 35,000 clubs worldwide, Rotary International is the world’s premier service organization. The Rotary Club of Long Beach (RCLB) is proud to be part of this worldwide organization and its focus on friendship, integrity, and living the motto “Service Above Self.”

Supporting Higher Education, Supporting Our Future

One of the proudest achievements of the Rotary Club of Long Beach membership is the continued support for and success of the Long Beach Rotary Scholarship Foundation (LBRSF).

‘Reading By 9’ Literacy For Life

One 4-year-old boy said he dreamed of being a pilot when he grew up — so he wanted to read about airplanes. A little girl wanted to read a book about birthdays because she was 5 and looking for new ways to celebrate. Other children said they wanted to learn to read…because reading is fun!

Long Beach Rotary By The Numbers

Rotary International, our parent organization, is founded in Chicago by attorney Paul Harris. Paul and other business associates agreed to meet weekly for lunch and “rotate” offices — and that’s how “Rotary Club” was named!
